Ben Fund Bonanza 2017!

Sunday saw the annual hosting of the Ben Fund meeting, this year at the home of the Glasgow Tigers. Thomas had a slow start to the meeting- after it rained heavily and the track made it difficult to see after he ripped all tear-offs away after just bend 3 on the first lap! TJ finally found his form and scored 3,2,3 in his last three rides.

Just falling short of the final 4, TJ came 5th in the meeting overall scoring 9 points in total. Thomas was happy to get back to racing again and is looking forward to this weekend- for meet the rider's night and Press & Practice in Workington.

All ready for the weekend!

TJ returns to the UK today after a long week of testing engines and getting back into the swing of things in Denmark. After being knocked off two weeks ago in Berwick, Thomas sustained an injury to his hand. However, he feels fit enough to ride again and returns to Berwick tomorrow when they take on the Newcastle Diamonds.

We are also selling TJ Racing Keyrings (right) in order to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK- a charity very close to our hearts. Please see Thomas or Kate tomorrow to buy yours!

As always, thanks for your support and see you at the track!

Struggling with the flu!

Thomas had to pull out of tonight's meeting due to suffering with the flu. He first fell ill on Saturday when he took part in Berwick's Press and Practice. Hopefully, he will regain his strength and get back to normal in time for the meeting in Berwick on Saturday.

"Really sorry to have let all my fans down but I just don't feel well enough to ride today at redcar. Have no energy and feel awful.. Flu at its worst! So sorry but hope to bounce back for Saturday"

We will be teaming up with Tazmcd Photography in order to raise money for Alzheimer's Research. This is a charity very close to our heart after my grandad and Kate's nan both suffered with dementia. We will be selling TJ photo keyrings £3 each and all profit goes towards Alzheimer's Research UK. Let's raise as much money as possible, together we have the power to beat dementia! Please message or comment to order yours and more information will be posted soon.

Thank you!

Press and Practice day!

Thomas took to the track on home shale on Saturday for the Berwick Bandits Press and Practice! TJ is in the number 1 position and will head the team this season. It was an action packed night with TJ getting some laps in.

Unfortunately, TJ came down with the flu on  Saturday morning and he was suffering from fever. Although it didnt stop him from giving his all on track, he is still feeling under the weather today.

The first meeting for Thomas is at Redcar on Thursday, when he hopes to start the season where it left off last year.

TJ and his team!

End of season!

Since Thomas' season came to a sudden close after he withdrew from the PLRC meeting in Sheffield, he has been resting ready for an operation on his left shoulder. Reflecting on what has been an excellent season for TJ, it was disappointing for it to end with the news that all ligaments in his shoulder are damaged and cannot hold the shoulder in place. Luckily, Thomas is in Denmark now and it looks as though he will be in for an operation by at least the start of next month- allowing enough time for physio ready for the 2016 season.

Thomas is already in talks with clubs regarding next season- both in the UK and Denmark. More news will be announced as soon as anything is finalised.

Without a doubt, 2015 has been a big year for Thomas- seeing him move into the number 1 race jacket for the Berwick Bandits- an ambition of Thomas' since he started riding in England. Thomas was also able to compete in both the PL pairs and the Rider's Championship. He hopes to continue next year in the same form as this season.

A HUGE THANK YOU: To all of Thomas' sponsors who have once again supported him through 2015 and without whom it would be impossible to continue his speedway career. Main sponsors: Arbejdernes Landsbank, DVI and Paul&Elise- offering the time and support when he has needed it most. Along with sponsors: The Ricketts Family who joined the team in 2015 and have been a great help to Thomas. The Ricketts are a wondeful family, who we have had the pleasure of spending time with. Steve and Bradley Newton: valued fans and also new sponsors for 2015 have been a great help, offering support whenever it was needed. The Wolversons; A wonderful family who Thomas has become very close to this year, 2015 wouldn't have been possible without you and thank you for all your time and support especially through the more difficult times this season. A special mention to Anders Vad for coming over to the UK to see Thomas compete in his first ever PLRC, hopefully next year it will run more smoothly!

TEAM TJ: All members of Team TJ: Peter Cross, Taz Mcd, Jess Lee & Shawn Smith thank you for joining Thomas in 2015... He has been thrilled by all the support he has received this season and the fans who have been behind him.

Thank you to all the fans who have been there cheering Thomas on at tracks all over the country in the UK and Denmark. All the fans who have bought merhcandise and offered your support whenever possible!

"I hope you have enjoyed 2015 as much as I have and that you follow me next year- wherever and whoever I ride for! Have a safe winter and I will see some of you at the Scunthorpe End of Season Party on the 16th October and also the Berwick Supporters Club Party the day after on the 17th October".
